At the age of 17, realizing that I needed more exposure to the world. I decided to enlist in the military
United States Marine Corps. I figured that would be my free pass to explore and expose myself to diverse cultures and places around the world. While enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, I decided to take advantage of the military tuition assistance program for college.

Eventually, I was awarded an Associate's Degree of Liberal Arts, an Associate's Degree in Linguistics, with emphasis in Japanese and a Bachelors of Science in General Biology.
